Triplets
Triplets
In Trio, players try to make patterns out of the symbols on hexagonal tiles. Each tile has one, two, or three symbols that are one of three shapes and colors. Three cells with the same or different properties make up a triple.
Triplets is a game that will twist your mind and test your ability to see patterns and match them. The 2010 KublaCon Game Design Competition was won by the game Triplets.
What to do
Find as many Trios as you can in 3 minutes! There are three (3) cards in a trio. Each card has four qualities, and for each quality, there are three options.
The bricks need to be set up in a honeycomb grid of rings that overlap. To score, three squares must be on a single hexagonal ring, and for each triple, a marker is put in the middle of the open ring. On a single round, you can make more than one triple, and since each tile is part of all three rounds, you have more than one chance to score on each turn. The person who gets the most triples wins the game.
