Mahjong Peng
Mahjong Peng
Mahjong Peng is a tile-matching game that draws its inspiration from the traditional Chinese game of Mahjong. In order to engage in gameplay, the participant is required to carefully choose and eliminate pairs of tiles that include identical symbols, which are affixed to a suspended banner functioning as the designated area for play. The game lacks the inclusion of tiles arranged in distinct patterns, as observed in traditional Mahjong. Furthermore, the player is not solely responsible for choosing tiles in order to create a match. However, they are required to go through sliding-tile mechanics.
The user initiates the game by choosing between the Easy, Special, or Normal play modes. Subsequently, the user proceeds to choose any pairings of tiles that exhibit congruence and are situated adjacent to one another on the game board. The game employs traditional Mahjong tiles including representations of red and blue bamboo stalks, stones, and dragons. When the user chooses a pair of adjacent tiles, the tiles undergo a flipping motion. Once all other alternatives have been exhausted, the player is required to shift one or more tiles into a configuration where at least one tile is aligned either vertically or horizontally with its corresponding match. The tiles in question will only undergo a flipping motion if they are already connected to other tiles that have been flipped.
The game features a visual aid that demonstrates to the player the process of matching tiles and the appropriate technique for aligning them. Additionally, the software visually emphasizes the unoccupied tiles that can be used for a potential match by using a yellow highlighting effect.
In the game of Mahjong Peng, the player achieves victory by successfully flipping all the tiles present on the game area.
